The Academic Skills Program provides intensive English instruction in the skills required for success in American colleges or graduate programs. This program is ideal for anyone whose goal is to apply to an English-language university. Academic Skills classes run in 8-week semesters and have eight levels. Upon completing one semester, students can move up to a new level. Each level in the Academic Skills Program consists of Academic Writing, Academic Reading, and Listening/Speaking courses.

- 8-week Daytime 144 hours.
- 8-week Daytime 72 hours (Part-Time)
- Schedule: Daytime: 4 days a week, usually from 9:30-1:35 pm, or 10:00-2:05 pm. Please check Academic Calendar
- 8-week Daytime (144 hours) $2,300 (Now $1,550 for 2026)
- 8-week Daytime (72 hours) $1,300 (Just $1,000 in 2026)
- Note: Students who complete level 8 of the program and score a 10 on the Departmental Exam can waive the TOEFL score when applying to any CUNY undergraduate program except Baruch.
